Bio
Janice Clark, known to many as “Grandma Jan” was born in Corona, California, but has lived long enough in Washington
State to grow webbed feet. She has been a dreamer of dreams and a teller of tales all her life. Once her children were grown,
she began writing in earnest, producing a prolific profusion of poems, stories, songs, and even a few sermons. She also resumed
her interrupted education, earning an AA degree from Highline Community College in 2001, at the age of 60. Her main writing
interest is fantasy stories for children and young adults.
Dedication
For Britni, who asked for a story “about a little girl like me, whose parents split up and her cat died.” It
was a hard story to write. I hope it helped.
For all children everywhere who have lost a person or pet from their lives.
Yes, it’s sad. Yes, it hurts. You may be angry or afraid. But it will get better, and there will still be people
who love you and will take care of you, and most important of all, IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT.
